Tuesday Topics (Not on Tuesday) - Six (Most Unusual) Film, Book, or TV Show Titles That I Can Think Of

For this week's Tuesday Topic, I chose unusual titles from all three of the options:

Film

Black Snake Moan (2006)
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (1978)

Books

TV

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo (2012-17)
The Flying Nun (1967-70)

What are some unusual movie, book, or television titles that come to your mind? Feel free to share.

  1. I remember Attack of the Killer Tomatoes as a TV series. I never saw the film.

For books I can think of a few. The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery, Just Call Me Spaghetti-Hoop Boy by Lara Williamson, Silence is Goldfish by Annabel Pitcher, The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender, So Long and Thanks for All the Fish by Douglas Adams.

TV... all I can think of is Drop the Dead Donkey... an old British series. The title makes sense if you know the show but sounds weird otherwise.

    1. Of the two movies and two tv shows I listed, I've only seen Black Snake Moan and maybe a snippet of an episode of The Flying Nun. I have, however, read both of the books.

You listed some good book names!

  3. I love both of those book titles - but I've only read The Curious Incident. Long, unusual titles really can stand out. Fun topic!

    1. The Hundred Year Old Man... is really funny and takes the reader on a unique journey. It's set in a Scandinavian country, I can't remember which one, so some of the names of people and places are a little difficult, but the story itself is wonderful.
