Excited... about my trip to Chicago later this month. I can't wait to see the musical Hamilton, eat some Giordano's stuffed pizza, and see the Terra Cotta Warriors on display at the Field Museum.
Laughing... at this Temptations Cat Treats commercial.

Celebrating... a total weight loss of 25 pounds to date!
Admiring... my new Christmas tree. No, it's not decorated yet, but I love the flocking.
Loving... my new Fitbit Zip that I got for free through the health rewards program offered through my health insurance.

Commemorating... my husband's birthday by taking him to see The Book of Mormon (his favorite musical) on Sunday.
Feeling... as Kristen @ See You in a Porridge would say, "all the feels" over this incredibly poignant Macy's commercial.

Cleaning out... and getting rid of clothes that are now too big.
Shopping... online for Christmas presents and for a few clothing items for myself.
Reading (listening)... to the audiobook Under Locke by Mariana Zapata. Last month it was a man in a kilt; this month it's a man on a Harley...
Eating... these Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Mint squares. They're only 70 calories and I allow myself one square per day.
Finding... it hard to believe that it's December first! Where in the world did November go?
Walking... at least 3 miles per day, 3 to 4 days per week.
Struggling... with the blogging slump I've fallen into as of late. Again, I apologize if I don't reply to your comment in a timely manner. I will eventually.
So, what have you been up to lately? Have a very happy Thursday!

Well at least your tree is up. Mine is still in the loft but will hopefully be down and then up by the weekend. Hope you have a great time celebrating your hubby's birthday.
ReplyDeleteAs of today, there are still no decorations on it... I did add some red berries that I like, but need to get some more. We're kind of enjoying it in its natural state right now. Life has been super busy... Thanks for stopping by!
Deleteseems like everyone is in a blogging slump these past few months, myself included. maybe in january, things will pick up?
ReplyDeletecongrats on the weight loss! keep up the great work!!
I agree, several other ppl have said the same thing about slumps. Not sure what's going on in a collective sense. I mean, I know the reason for my slump, but know that everyone can't be going through a midlife crisis, too! LOL!
DeleteThank you! My goal is 50, then I will reassess and decide if I want to try to lose more or just maintain. As of this past weekend, 24 to go!
that cat commercial is the funniest thing i have ever seen (and most true, hence no decorations in my home this year lol).
ReplyDelete25lbs!! you go girl! that is awesome! i love your new tree.... what is flocking? i could google it, i know.
i am literally crying right now over the macy's commercial. gah, talk about all the feels!!!
those chocolate squares are so good! one a day is a great idea, i should do that instead of eating the entire bag.
i am in a slump/weird place with responding to comments etc right now too. eh. that's life i guess.
Flocking is the white stuff that looks like snow. (I had never heard of flocking either until my mom got a flocked tree a few years back.)
DeleteGlad I'm not the only one feeling all the feels over that commercial! LOL!
I think many of us are in blogging/commenting/responding slumps...
Walking is so good for the body and the brain. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteOoh cute tree! I love it. The Book of Mormon is a funny musical. I'm so jealous you are going to Chicago and seeing Hamilton!
ReplyDelete-Lauren
Thank you! It's still not decorated, but we are still enjoying it in its simplicity. I am so looking forward to seeing Hamilton!
DeleteThat's a very pretty tree.
ReplyDeleteSeeing the Terra Cotta Warriors sounds amazing!
I'm not sure I'll ever make it to China to see them, so I figured I better see them since they are coming so close to me!
DeleteThank you!
Your tree is so pretty even without decorations.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you... how is it December?!
Thank you! I'm not even sure I'm going to put many decorations on it. My husband and I are kind of enjoying the simplicity of it "as is."
DeleteI've been in a slump too. I think I had like 2 posts all of last month?! Crazy! That's awesome that you're taking him to see The Book of Mormon- I hear it's hhysterical and really want to see it! Also awesome that you got a free Fitbit through your health insurance. Congrats on the weight loss!
ReplyDeleteThe Book of Mormon is hysterical and definitely not for the faint of heart! Lots of f-bombs and other raunchiness. But, what do we expect - the guys who wrote it created South Park! LOL!
DeleteThank you!
25 pounds is an awesome accomplishment - go you!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope your trip to Chicago is as wonderful as you plan it to be, and even more so.
Thanks, girl! I'm very excited about Chicago. Let's just hope that the weather is cooperative!
