Today I am linking up with The Broke and the Bookish and participating in their weekly Top Ten Tuesday feature post. (To learn more about TTT, click here.) This week's theme is:
- Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
- The Perks of Being a Wallflower Stephen Chbosky
- Dark Places by Gillian Flynn
- The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
- Double Whammy by Carl Hiaasen
- The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy by Rachel Joyce
- The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larson
- I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson
- The Martian by Andy Weir
- Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
These are the books that are on my radar as of today and I do not have any set order in which I plan to read them. Also, if I'm not feeling a particular book, I may take it out of the lineup entirely and read something else instead. That's just how I roll these days. Life's too short to invest time in a book that you're just not feeling. So many books, so little time...
Are any of these books on your Fall TBR list? Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading!
I have read Perks of being a Wallflower, liked it.

Thanks for the heads up! This will be my second Gillian Flynn novel. I read Gone Girl last fall and it evoked such intense emotions from me. Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading to you!
DeleteI love The Perks of Being a Wallflower! I read it back in the early 2000's and I still love it! I hope you do too!
ReplyDeleteI plan to read it sometime next week during Banned Books Week. Everyone I have come in contact with who has read it has had wonderful things to say about it. I am optimistic that I will enjoy it, too!
DeleteI 200% recommend the Martian, I listened to it on audiobook and absolutely loved it. The Perks of Being a Wallflower was one of my summer reads and it was good too! The entire Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series is great...very captivating! Enjoy your reads!
ReplyDeleteThank you! The Martian is one of those books that I completely ignored when it first came out because scifi isn't typically my thing. Then, the book exploded and the book kept popping up in my life everywhere I turned! I considered it a sign. LOL! I plan to read it within the next couple of weeks so that I can go see the movie before it leaves the theaters. Will you go see the movie?
DeleteLove Lisbeth and Blomkvist! I hope you like The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo!! I'm hoping to get to the fourth in that series, carried on by David Lagercrantz in the wake of Larsson's death. :( I loved The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy! (though I was the only one to feel that way in our book club!) I also hope to read I'll Give You the Sun, The Martian, The Nightingale, and Everything, Everything! Nice list!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am currently about midway through I'll Give You the Sun. It's an interesting book with a bit of a spin on the point of view format that are currently all the rage (the past is told from the brother's POV and the current is told from the sister's). I am anxious to see how it all winds up. I am looking forward to The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy b/c I loved The Unlikley Pilgrimage of Harold Fry. Did you read it as well?
DeleteI did read Harold Fry and loved it so much that I couldn't limit myself to just one blog post, but posted two to review it! :)
DeleteI will have to search your blog and read it! Thanks for the heads up!
DeleteI can help! :)

THANKS! I will check them out this weekend!
DeleteI remember hating Fahrenheit 451 in high school. Can't remember why. I notice that you are an audio book fan. I read The Martian, but it's my understanding that the audio book is even better. I want to read the Nightingale and I'll Give You the Sun as well. (and yes, I'm a Jovi girl through and through...but I couldn't respond to your comment on my blog because you're a "no-comment blogger" and I couldn't find your email).
